A new generation of Music Television is about to begin in the form of Access All Areas TV to be aired weekly in its hour-long Tuesday 10pm time slot from June 19 2007 (and repeated each Saturday at 11pm from June 23 2007) on Channel 31 in Brisbane.
Access All Areas TV is a co-production with music website Access All Areas.net.au – www.accessallareas.net.au, a popular national website that’s been going since 2004 and is visited by over 100,000 visitors a month.
In its premiere episode to air on Tuesday night June 19, Something With Numbers will be in the studio for an interview and an acoustic performance. Brisbane band, Glasshouse will also come in for a chat and we catch up with US rockers, The Used during their in store signing at Skinnys Music and chat with some of the fans.
Hosted by Sea FM’s Renee Peterson, best known for her nightly top 30 style show, The List, with some help by co-host Avalon Drive bass player, Ryan Kennedy.
The show is unique in its approach to its key demographic audience of 16 – 35 year old’s whereby it will feature a dominance in the local music scene (an average of 40%+ Australian product) but whilst also shifting some focus to the international artists.
The focus will be broad with it’s music policy resting somewhere between Triple J and Nova, so it’s adventurous but will not be totally neglecting commercial music.
An average play list might consist of My Chemical Romance, Thirsty Merc, Gotye, Butterfingers, The White Room, Scissor Sisters, Panic At the Disco, Grand Atlantic, TV Rock vs. Dukes of Windsor. A mix of new artists that are trying to break as well as the top 40 hits with interviews already lined up with bands including Something With Numbers, Avalon Drive, Bob Evans, Glasshouse, The Camels, Intercooler and so many more.
Access All Areas TV outlook is to syndicate the show to a national audience within the first three months of the initial airing.
