Stephen Green is pleased to announce the sale of Australian Music Biz Pty Ltd after seven years to the company's radio publicist Bianca Lindstrom and AAA Entertainment Director Marc Mancini. Lindstrom joined the company as an employee in 2006 from SonyBMG and after twelve months with the company has joined with Marc in purchasing Stephen Green's interest in the company.
“The music industry is in an exciting period of change and the amazing position and potential for growth in Australian Music Biz has convinced us that we want to be in the driver's seat moving forward,” said Lindstrom. “We remain committed to ensuring that our clients receive the absolute highest degree of service and there will be a number of initiatives that we'll be rolling out over the coming months, including expansion of our Access All Areas TV show, to ensure the future growth of the fantastic business that Stephen has built. In the short-term, nothing will change, with everyone remaining in their current roles and Stephen continuing with the company to ensure a continuity of service for all of our clients”.
Stephen remains with the company as Senior Consultant over the next few months to oversee current clients and ensure smooth management of the transition before considering other opportunities both in business and music. Stephen retains his controlling share in Outbreak Marketing Pty Ltd.
Stephen Green started the business in 2000 and has overseen the growth of the company from a one-person bedroom operation to one of the most profitable music PR businesses in Australia, supporting four staff.
“Australian Music Biz has been my passion and focus for a good part of my life, however this is a decision I have made on both person and business grounds,” he said. “The goals I set to achieve back in 2000 have largely been achieved and its time for me to move on to new challenges. I am handing over to Bianca and Marc at a time that the company has never been more profitable, has never had a better roster and really is kicking serious goals. I love the idea of going out on top, letting the business breathe with the guys taking it to a new level. They have so many fresh ideas and a vitality that only those that have met them will understand.”
“Given this may be my last opportunity to insert myself into a media release, I'd also like to pay tribute to my amazing staff who have made the last seven years so much fun-- Bianca, Ellie, Lee, Nathan and Clare- but particularly Laura who has been with Australian Music Biz for five years and has been a huge part of what Australian Music Biz has become. I thank them all for allowing me to grow with the company and wish the current gang all the best-- I look forward to working with them all under the new arrangements over the next few months.” |
