Avalon DriveAvalon Drive confirmed for Rove Live performance!
Posted on Wednesday, May 31 2006
Avalon Drive have been confirmed to perform as the house band on ROVE LIVE going live to air on Tuesday 27 June 2006 from 9.30pm on Channel Ten.

News of the performance comes after the band release their new single to radio last week titled ‘Get Up’ which was named by Music Network “an upbeat, catchy slice of pop/rock that shows promise for the band at Australian radio as they mature”.

“It represents getting off your backside and getting out of what ever scene you’re surrounded by, It means driving down the highway and rocking out with your friends to a song you all love, Jovi style,” says singer Damion Page of the new single.

In support of the EP, Avalon Drive will be taking their show live on the road for their biggest national tour yet.

“We love to play live I think the five of us were born to play our music loud and to hundreds of people. The shows are crazy, there is never a moment where any of us stand still”, incentive enough from BJ, the man on the keys. “Bring your mum, she'll love us” jokes Damion.

Avalon Drive has no doubt made their impact on the Australian Music scene since their debut self-titled EP release in 2005 being called “the most promising rock act on the Australian scene” by Beat Magazine and “hot rock property” by Rave Magazine.

And with a performance recently with Australian rockers, After The Fall, Time Off Magazine warn, “This group command some serious attention! Running all over the place like headless chickens, they give a performance as if this were their last show ever. Pushing through debut EP material into newer songs from their upcoming EP, it makes for an energetic opener”.
