Brisbane five-piece band, Avalon Drive, have been confirmed for the Australian support act for Yellowcard’s Sydney show at the Big Top at Luna Park on Sunday March 19.
Having been together since early 2005, Avalon Drive have undoubtedly made their impact on the Australian music scene since their debut self-titled EP release in 2005 whilst also previously sharing the stage supporting other well known and respected international bands including Anberlin (USA), Crowned King (Canada) and Rufio (USA).
Avalon Drive consists of Damion Page (Vocals), Shane ‘Holmesy’ Holmes (Drummer), BJ Dillewaard (Keys), Ryan Kennedy (Bass) and Wil Morris (Guitars).
The band’s debut EP was released through independent label, Valet Records, with a bonus DVD in August 2005 selling thousands of copies across the country.
The debut single "This Simple Life" was a hit with radio and television nationally whilst their second single ‘Outside Alone’ received equally as much support being added on high rotation to Nova FM nationally, Rage and Channel V.
Whilst talking up their energetic live shows, Holmesy says “We are very much a live band; you can expect a high energy rock show that people of most ages and music tastes can enjoy.”

“I think the five of us were born to play our music loud and to hundreds of people... The shows are crazy” says BJ.
The band is on the verge of releasing their second EP expected out in June!
