Avalon Drive, who are busy in the studio preparing their debut album to be released mid-year, has been named an uncharTED semi-finalist by media panellist, MTV Talent/Artist Relations Manager, Colin Blake.
“This band is a polished act that has an appealing punk poppy sound that deserves to be heard by audiences world wide,” Blake said of the band.
“They have obviously performed together a lot and are a very tight sounding unit. The cool thing about Avalon Drive is that when you listen to the song you instantly think to yourself that this is a band you want to see live,” he continues.
“The energy comes through the song at all the right times and "Make Your Move" has all the builds and peaks that you want from a top forty song in this genre. These guys have had some great success in Aus and definitely have a solid fan base here. They deserve to break into the international scene as their song writing and musical talents can stand up to any band in this fun, high energy end of rock music.”
Avalon Drive have been spending the past twelve months writing and recording their debut album which is due to be released mid-year, the first single to be released in May.
Fans can have the first taste of what to expect during the two live shows this week playing ‘Snitch’ at Rosie’s on George Street in Brisbane on Thursday night (February 21 - 18+) and an all ages acoustic show on Friday at The Hive (next door to Kill The Music in the City) on Friday night (February 22) in support of To Write Love On Her Arms (TWLOHA).
