Front Counter head in to the studio to record EP #2! Posted on Friday, March 6 2009 Melbourne four-piece, Front Counter, are hitting the studio this month to record the band’s second yet-to-be-titled EP; the follow up from the band’s successful debut EP ‘A Toast To You And Me’. The band will be recording with ARIA nominated Melbourne producer, Kalju (Kal) Tonuma who’s past credits include Trial Kennedy, The Living End, Horsell Common, The Hot Lies, Crowded House, 28 Days and Evermore. Having formed in 2004 and releasing their debut EP in August of 2008, the band have grown from strength to strength moulding a sound that they are truly proud of. 2008 was a big year for the four-piece having released two singles garnering airplay on Triple M; a performance of single ‘What’s Your Name’ on an episode of Network Ten’s ‘Neighbours’ in August broadcast throughout Australia, and the UK, sync placements throughout Channel 7’s Beijing Olympic Games coverage and on Network Ten’s Rove, a coveted spot supporting Bon Jovi and also made a special appearance at the 2008 ARIA Music Awards. The new EP will be released in May followed by a national tour. This is a band you’re about to hear a whole lot more of!!!
