AAA Presents the Script live in Australia this September!
Posted on Wednesday, June 17 2009
Irish rockers The Script will make their highly anticipated return to Australia this September. After a series of intimate performances in late 2008, The Script return in 2009 for a full blown tour taking in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane presented by AccessAllAreas.net.au. Support at all shows will be Australia’s own Wes Carr.

The last twelve months have seen The Script burst from relative obscurity onto the world’s stage, where they’ve quickly established themselves as one of 2009’s most promising bands. Singles ‘We Cry’ and ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ have seen The Script begin to carve a name for themselves Down Under, but it wasn’t until the release of ‘Breakeven’ that the boys truly took a hold of the Australian public, peaking at #3 on the ARIA chart and #1 on radio airplay.

The Script are no one trick pony if the stunning results of their debut album are anything to go by. Drawing on a wide range of inspiration – from rock to r’n’b – the band funnelled it all into The Script (out now through Sony), securing a legion of fans along the way. The album debuted at #1 across Europe and reached #9 on our ARIA chart.

The Daily Telegraph were thrilled with the band: “Irish rock trio The Script is expected to explode from the studio to the charts in the same way One Republic put songwriter and producer Ryan Teddy on the map.”

Marie Claire were similarly impressed: “It’s easy to fall in love with The Script after hearing just one song – they’re that good…a sensational debut.”

While The Sydney Mag was smitten after just one song: “We Cry is the kind of song you fall in love with thanks to its sweet melody, killer chorus and O’Donoghue’s ageless voice.”

Wes Carr will open all shows for The Script. Thrust into the public eye via 2008’s Australian Idol, Wes has established himself as a musical force to be reckoned with. With a string of musical collaborations already under his belt, the release of his first studio album The Way the World Looks was embraced across the country, debuting at #2 on the ARIA chart, spawning hit singles ‘You’ and ‘Feels Like Woah’ and has already received Gold certification.

Don’t miss your chance to see The Script live in Australia this September – tickets are sure to sell out.
