Melbourne band Starting Sunday, will join FAKER on their national tour dates heading to Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria in August for the JD Set tour!
Starting Sunday will play The Prince Bandroom (Melbourne, VIC) on August 6, The Metro (Sydney, NSW) on August 7 and James Cook Uni (Townsville, QLD) on August 8 with all shows FREE ENTRY!
Starting Sunday involvement in the JD Set follows on from the legacy of 2008’s successful inaugural series which included bands such as Angelas Dish, Braindead Lovers, Borne, Calling All Cars, Casual Projects, Calerway, Galleon, and the Lazys and more recently in 2009 with Glass Ceiling and The Shiny Brights.
This news comes after a hectic couple of months for Starting Sunday having just unleashed their second self-titled EP and currently on their national tour in support of the release.
In 2008, the band became the first unsigned band to perform on an episode of Network Ten’s ‘Neighbours’ in August [2008] which was broadcast throughout Australia and the UK and also achieved sync placements throughout Channel 7’s Beijing Olympic Games coverage [2008] and on Network Ten’s Rove whilst ending the year with a special appearance at the 2008 ARIA Music Awards. The band has also supported Behind Crimson Eyes (AUS), The Butterfly Effect (AUS), Dopamine (UK); as well as a support slot on the Taste Of Chaos tour playing alongside bands including The Used, Rise Against, Aiden and the Gallows.
